As long as your realize that these have rounded edges and corners, as well as divots for the pips, these are perfectly fine dice. Strangely enough, there is some noticeable variation in the placement of the pips between dice; almost as if they were hand made. Wouldn’t use them for fair gambling.

As has been said in other reviews, these dice are not the same as the super precision (and more expensive) genuine casino dice. They are however nice on their own and a great value. As indicated by the 19mm size, these are larger than the small dice that are standard with board games or packaged dice games.

Many (over 40% so far) of the dice have quality defects. Among the defects are some sides rounded while others are flat, holes halfway through, bulges and some sides being lopsided (causing some of the faces to actually be different sizes).
Since these are advertised as “perfect for…games” and not as ‘perfect for jewelry or decoration’ these defects at such a high rate is problematic. If you are looking for fair dice or even medium quality dice then keep looking.
Playing with a pair of these is like playing with a deck of cards that are different sizes, folded or torn. What would you do if you bought a deck like that?

As some other reviewers said, almost all of mine had defects. They appear clear in the picture but they are not when they arrive. They seem all scratched up.

These dice are exactly what I wanted: cheap dice, not worried about quality. 100 dice for $12 is awesome. A good percent of the dice have at least a slight defect: a divot, a bubble, a slant. But, there hasn’t been a case where we have been playing and we can really blame it on the dice. The rolling is random. If you play for money, these aren’t the dice to play with. If it’s good cheap fun, I recommend it.

There were some small scratched on my d4, and some paint errors on my d12 and d20, but other than that, these are beautiful dice. Defiantly worth the $5.80-ish I paid for them. A perfect set for beginners!

These dice are painted quite poorly. The edges of the numbers have rough edges painted in rather than clear, straight edges. There is also lines of paint on some of the edges of the dice, where paint shouldn’t be. I was able to scratch the excess paint off, but I can’t fix the numbers.
The d4 came with three immediately noticable scratches on one face. It also has a small bubble of air inside it.
These dice are completely functional, but I would suggest spending a couple of dollars more and buying them from a different source. You’ll likely be spending a lot of time with your dice so you might as well have a set you’re proud of.

The following review will be the same for all the differing colors of ChesseX Polyhedral 7-Die Translucent Dice Set.
ChesseX offers eleven (11) different colors of 7-die Polyhedral sets, one of the best selections of gamer dice offered and excellent for each player to have their own distinctive set. I prefer the green, but have a blue set as well. But with so many choices it is easy to pick your favorite or an easy compromise.
I prefer the translucent to solid color die mainly because there is something bout the slightly luminous background of the translucent plastic that sets off the black numbers better, making them easier to read and providing a more pleasant gaming experience.
Accuracy on random number generation is important. I got my undergraduate statistics students to test the ChesseX die with 1,000 throws, and the quality report came back: EXCELLENT. These are die that throw random numbers from their possibility set.
The slightly rounded edges make for clean throws and firm resting stops, although the inherent composition of the plastic makes them bounce pretty easily off a Formica table. These die work better on cloth surfaces.
