For years I have used a figure 8 type elastic support made by another well known manufacturer. Well, when my last set wore out, I found that this type was not available in the stores or catalogs, and I checked a bunch. The only supports I found were basically elastic socks, which are about half as effective. I was very happy to find the figure 8 support at Amazon. I have tried them on and it would seem that they will work just fine.

I looked high and low for a support exactly like this one to match one I bought years ago. It is nice and smooth under the arch with no rigid seam. It’s small and lightweight and great to wear under nylons. Fits well in a shoe. It gives a nice support to my foot.

I use the ankle support daily for support due to an injury. The support fits well and is comfortable. Watch for ankle diameter not shoe size, when ordering size.

I have one of these that I bought a few years ago that, aside from a few fuzzy areas, is still in good shape and provides good support. I was relieved to see you could still purchase them online since they had all but disappeared from the stores but this is not like the ones they used to sell.
I’ve only had it a couple of months but the elastic has been popping throughout and it only provides support in a few stripes now. It might be okay if you need to use it only for a short time but I really would recommend you look elsewhere.

I’ve been looking for this type for years. Most stores have discontinued them but I’m sure why. This brand is the most comfortable of all. They are thin with great support and can be worn under socks. Most of the common ankle supports now being sold have a thick elastic ridge to reinforce the edge. After wearing type it becomes painful. Kind of like walking on a pencil all day. Hey Ames Walker put these back in the drug store!! Thanks John
